On the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker (May 1st), the work of remodeling the former St. Alphonsa (Syro-Malabar Catholic) church into the new St. Vitus church began. St. Vitus is the new home for the Apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Archbishop Gomez has graciously welcomed the FSSP to establish a parish that will bring Tradition and the Extraordinary Form to life, with all the associations and parish activities of a regular parish.
