Marian feast days are specific holy days of the liturgical year that Christians celebrate because of their local, regional, national or international importance. Some feasts celebrate certain events in the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, others are in recognition of the Blessed Virgin Mary's ongoing involvement in the Catholic Church. This list of Marian Feasts illustrates the prophecy that is found in the Gospel of Luke: "All generations will call me blessed." [Lk. 1:48]
