Traditional Latin Mass Community of Saint Mary Magdalen
We hope many of you will attend our New Year's Day Latin Mass at Mary Magdalen Chapel at 10 AM.
One favorite tradition for this feast day is a plenary indulgence which the Church offers for publicly singing or reciting Veni Creator Spiritus on New Year's Day.
Traditionally, our choir has made this possible for our congregation by including Veni Creator Spiritus. We also still include a lot of Christmas music on New Year's Day and the following Sunday.

The O Antiphons are ancient Advent hymns which are traditionally part of Evening Prayer on the 8 days before Christmas (the last one, O Virgo Virginum, is newer than the rest). The older ones are inspired by the verses of O Come O Come Emanuel. Traditionally our choir has sung selections from the O Antiphons each Sunday of Advent, before the start of mass; our arrangement is in English with 4-part harmony, from Anglican hymnity.

The Traditional Latin Mass for Christmas Day will be celebrated at 10 AM at our usual location, St Mary Magdalen Chapel in Camarillo. 10 AM is also the mass time on New Year's Day.
The Traditional Latin Mass also continues each Sunday at 10 AM at St Mary Magdalen Chapel.
The Traditional Latin Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 8, at 7 PM, at Saint Mary Magdalen Chapel in Camarillo, for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
