Saint Vitus Remodel Photos

On the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker (May 1st), the work of remodeling the former St. Alphonsa (Syro-Malabar Catholic) church into the new St. Vitus church began.  St. Vitus is the new home for the Apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  Archbishop Gomez has graciously welcomed the FSSP to establish a parish that will bring Tradition and the Extraordinary Form to life, with all the associations and parish activities of a regular parish.  Dedication of the new church by Archbishop Gomez is anticipated in June 2018!

With generous permission from the pastor, Fr. Lawrence Seyer a third Extraordinary Form, sung High Mass in Latin was hosted at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Montecito.  In attendance were 190 of the faithful, including "The Floriani" men's choir under the direction of Giorgio Navarini.  Father Paul Raftery, O.P. offered the Traditional Latin Mass.
